Photo Manipulation and Ethics

The main points of the story is how in some Middle East countries, manipulating some pictures isn't right. If the Reuters found out the photographer edited his or her photo it would be removed. I personally think photo editing should be acceptable in some cases, like some effects to editing make the picture stand out or it gets the main idea of the picture to stand out against the rest of the photo. The only time photo editing should be allowed is when it's a true event and then editing the picture it's nothing that happened.
